Watercolour Classes in Dorking

In my classes you will have an opportunity to learn the basics of watercolour with positive teaching in a friendly atmosphere. Through simple exercises you will find out the best way to apply washes, good colour mixing, and descriptive brushwork, and you will develop your interpretive skills in a variety of subjects such as still life, landscape and floral subjects. Your understanding of the medium, your appreciation of art, and your drawing ability will all develop as you progress.

The classes are fun and informative, and the atmosphere is friendly and informal. Many students return every term to develop their skills and personal style.

Weekly classes in Dorking suspended for the time being 

If everything goes to plan and travel restrictions are lifted,  I will be teaching at L'Age Baston  for a week from 26th September until 3rd October 2020. L'Age Baston is a beautiful chateau in the Charente region of France, with ensuite rooms, fabulous food, a studio to work and a swimming pool. The owners Alex and John Waddington are amazingly hospitable and knowledgeable hosts. Everything is taken care of; pick ups from airports, all food and trips to various scenic local towns and villages for sketching and photographs, or shopping!
